In the 'Host' tab you will find the following parameters:
Address
URL or IP address of the host computer.
Port
TCP port defined at the host computer for Telnet access.

Enable Keep alive
Enables keep-alive mechanism, needed for some Telnet servers to prevent disconnections.
Socks Firewall
Enables support for Socks firewall.

When you check this option, the 'Socks' tab will automatically appear in the connection settings dialog. |
Disable Telnet Protocol Negotiation
Check this option if you want to omit the protocol negotiation when connecting.
Has Backup
Check this option if you would like to specify an alternate ip for this connection.

SSL
Enables the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol for the host.

When you check this option, the 'SSL' tab will automatically appear in the connection settings dialog. See Using SSL. The SSL and Gateway options are mutually exclusive. |
SSH
Enables the SSH protocol for the host.

When you check this option, the 'SSH' tab will automatically appear in the connection settings dialog. The SSH and Gateway options are mutually exclusive. |
Gateway
Check this option if there is a gateway for accessing the host.

When you check this option, the 'Gateway' tab will automatically appear in the connection settings dialog. The Gateway options is mutually exclusive with the SSH and SSL options. |
Character Set Translation
Select the character set that better suits your language needs.

When you select BiDi sets, a new option will be enabled so you can select the BiDi settings. |
